About Inkbound
Our mission: give novelists a writing space as clear and focused as the blank page deserves.
Writing a novel is hard enough on its own. It shouldn't also mean juggling a word processor, a spreadsheet for your characters, a notebook for your world, and a dozen open tabs. Inkbound brings all of it — your chapters, characters, world, and progress — into one place built for writing, not project management.
Our values
Your words are yours. Everything you write stays entirely yours. We claim no rights over your text, and your content is never used to train AI.
Simplicity as a choice. Every feature in Inkbound exists because a writer needed it — not because it looks good on a feature list. We'd rather build a tool you master in ten minutes than one that needs a manual.
Accessible, not predatory. No monthly subscription quietly adding up while you write. Premium is $20, once, forever — the platform's launch price, which will increase later.
A real person on the other end. Inkbound is built and maintained directly by someone who reads every message sent through the contact form — and answers it.
Hi! I'm Gabrielle, from Québec, Canada, and a mom of two — I love learning, whether it's writing, painting, or code. I'd written for fun for years, but kept losing track between paper notes, my phone, and a dozen Word documents. Inkbound came out of that simple need: one tool, always at hand, where I can check my character sheets without losing my place in the chapter, and find the details of my world in an instant.
Inkbound's synonym tool relies on the myThes French synonym dictionary (Dicollecte/Grammalecte project, LGPL 2.1+), on conjugation tables derived from the Lefff lexicon (Apache 2.0), on the Lefff lexicon itself for noun/adjective agreement (LGPL-LR), and on WordNet, a lexical database from Princeton University, for English.
